Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
2 days ago, I had a bowel movement which it felt incomplete afterwards. I check myself and I foud something that resembled external hemorrhoids. A day ago, I had a bowel movement and it felt incomplete again. So now today, I feel like I need to go constantly but nothing comes out. I am on my period and I m wondering if my period has anything to do with this.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of incomplete bowel movements, external hemorrhoids, need to go constantly but nothing comes out, on periods and wants to know whether this is related or snot. This may be related if there is lots of congestion in the pelvic area due to menstrual periods, but them must have occurred at every period. If this has appeared for the first time, then this may be just coincidental. The cause can be procto-colitis and can be diagnosed by Colonoscopy and biopsy if required to know the exact cause. Also send stool for lab tests so that if there is any infection, go for a course of an antibiotic and metronidazole to get a proper and complete relief or as per the reports of stool and colonoscopy, under the guidance of your Doctor or a Gastroenterologist.
