Can One Have Intercourse While On Azithromycin?

Hi ive just come back from my doctors. ureaplasma species have been detected. i have been prescribed Azithromycin. i am wondering if it is safe to have sex with my partner still and should we use condoms as protection as well as me being on the pill?

I have gone through your Query & I really appreciate your concern about the problem you are facing.

As a physician I would like to tell you that Ureaplasms is a type of bacteria in Mycoplasma family. They can spread through sexual contact. So I would suggest to avoid indulging in intercourse till the therapy is over. And if you do so, do use a condom everytime.
