Hi,

Ondem syrup contains ondansetron, which is an antiemetic medication used to treat nausea and vomiting. It is usually safe to give Ondem syrup for short-term use, typically for 1-2 days, to treat acute vomiting. However, if vomiting persists or worsens despite taking Ondem syrup, or if there are any other concerning symptoms, it is important to consult a doctor for further evaluation and treatment.

In your case, your son has vomited multiple times and is experiencing a vomiting sensation even after taking Ondem syrup. It is advisable to consult a doctor to determine the underlying cause of the vomiting and to determine the appropriate treatment. The doctor may also suggest a change in dosage or alternative medication, depending on your son's condition. It is important to monitor your son's fluid intake to prevent dehydration, which can be a serious complication of persistent vomiting.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
