Can Nexplanon Cause Heavy Bleeding And Crack Nipple?

hi i have been on nexplanon for about 2 and a half years ive been fine only had occasional spotting but the last 2 weeks i have had heavy bleeding and passing clots i have had cracked nipples and sore breasts of which i have been to see my gp who gave me a steriod cream and sent me on my way im a little worried i dont know if this maybe a sign that im due to renew the nexplanon.

Though bleeding has been described among the side effects of nexplanon, your symptoms may not be a side effect of nexplanon given that you have had it for over 2 years without any problem.I will suggest you see the Doctor for examination and a pelvic ultrasound.Other causes of abnomal vaginal bleeding like pelvic masses, PID,...should be eliminated.
As for the crack on your nipples and soreness in breasts, they are also described side effects of nexplanon.However, not normal after 2 years.I will suggest you continue with your steroid cream and observe.
If symptoms persist and no other cause found, your Doctor may consider removing your implant.
