Can Menopause Cause Hypothermia?

I m 59 and 2 years ago I was SO cold all the time I stopped my hormones and that helped. Now I am hot almost all the time. I keep my bedroom cold and still am in and out of the covers all night and find myself sweating and hot during the day. Today I saw my gynecologist and she said unlikely to be menopause. I m also terribly thirsty (I drink probably 10 16 oz bottles of water a day). My blood sugar tests high normal. My gyn. said maybe thyroid. Does that sound right?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated. We have to rule out possible causes like hormonal imbalances.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
