Can Medicine For Overactive Bladder Be Stopped Cold Turkey?

I have been using this cream for several months but would like to stop. Is it safe to go off cold turkey or should I do it gradually. I am 71 and was prescribed the cream when being treated fo overactive bladder and frequent urinary tract infections.

Hello,

Firstly I need to know what cream are you using if its oxybutynin then the answer is No, its not a wise way to stop it abruptly since it can cause withdrawal symptoms in some of the patients.

Talk to your doctor first if your symptoms are under control and you can stop that medication, do it gradually.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
