Can Medications For Thyroid Disorder Cause Benign Lumps?
I have been taking thyroid medication for 5 yrs after it was removed bc of cancer. I appear to have a fibroadenoma on the right side and 2 sort of cysts on the left. I have had benign lumps several years ago but just read that thyroid meds may cause them. Is that possible? or is it more likely to be the Premarin? or both?Do these breast fibroids always need to be removed?
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. First of all your thyroid problems and premarine has no relation with your breast fibroadenoma or cyst.
Fibroadenoma should be removed. Because later on it may increase in size and atypical changes may develop which leads to breast cancer.
Removal of fibroadenoma is very minor surgery. You should go for that.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
