Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yes Doctor . I suffer with DYSTONIA. I am totally disabled. I take 4 different medications and am under Doctors care. I talked to a few massage people today that told me that they would like to try and see if they could help me. The treatments would be ENERGY WORK ,AND MAYBE MASSAGE if they thought it would be helpful. My question is would this be worth a try or a wast of money?
Physical therapy can help with dystonia, but I am not too sure whether massages can or will help. Medications, physical therapy, brain stimulation, botox injections or surgical therapy is usually employed. Trying it is thus left completely left upto you, I do not think it can help though.
Best wishes.
