Can Lung Cancer History Cause Cancerous Nodule?

I am 53 years old and am a never-smoker. I have had lung cancer three times - at ages 33, 35 and 51 - and no longer have a left lung after a resection, lumpectomy and then a completion pneumonectomy. Now I have been told that I have a lung nodule and am scheduled for a six-month CT scan to check on growth. Does my history influence the likelihood of the nodule being cancerous, or are my chances the same as someone with no history of lung cancer?

Hi

Since you are having history of lung cancer you have a chance of recurrence.

If the nodule keeps on growing after 6 month then u need to do biopsy from it to rule out malignancy.

Regards
