Can It Be A Fracture If The Foot Hurts Towards The Heels After Falling From The Stairs But There Is No Swelling / Bruise?

I fell down my friends stairs Saturday night. My left side was the affected side but my left foot didn t hurt, until the next day and it still hurts, but its not swollen or bruised. The left side of my left foot hurts towards the heel but on the side. Could it be fractured?

hi,
since you din't get immediate swelling the chances of fracture are less likely although it can't be completely ruled out. but you should try below mentioned treatment for 2-3 days.if pain doesn't subside then you can go in for a xray.
Treatment:
1. give rest to the affected part
2. apply ice packs 5-6 times a day for 10 min.
3. take anti inflammatory medicine like diclofenac sodium
4. keep your foot elevated- while sitting on a stool or chair and while sleeping on 2-3 pillows.
if pain still persists get an xray
regards
