Can Intercourse With Partner, 10 Days Before Periods, Lead To Pregnancy?

hi, i got married this August 2016 and me and my husband has no plans of making baby so soon as both of us work and we need some more time to make baby, we recently on 24th of December 2016 had intercourse and its 10days prior to my periods and are there any chances of becoming pregnant.

Hello dear
I understand your concern
If you have regular cycle of 28-30 days then pregnancy is not possible.
If you have 28 days regular cycle then ovulation occur at 14th day and ovum can live for 24-36 hours in genital tract.
So at 10th day before period date, no ovum is present and so no fertilization will occur.
But if you have irregular period and long cycle (32-35 days) then pregnancy is possible. In this case take I pill with in 72 hours of sex to prevent unwanted pregnancy.
Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water and do regular exercise
