Can Inflammation Lower The Kidney Function?

I recently was treated for a kidney infection and a week later had to have two uric acid kidney stones removed. I was put on Potassium Citrate and Flomax after the surgery and found that one or both of them made me ill. I have stopped both medications but my doctor call me today to tell me that my urinalysis and blood work show blood in my urine and lots in inflammation in my kidneys. My kidney function is also running at 50% and it was normal several months ago. Can the inflammation be the cause of the lower kidney function?
