Can Having Unprotected Sex While On Loestrin Fe Cause Pregnancy?
I have been on lo estrin fe for about 6 months now. I had sex roughly a week ago. Just the tip of the penis was inserted a couple of times without a condom. I took 6 pills 12 hours apart to prevent pregnancy. After a week I am experinceing breast tenderness. Is this from the pill or possibly pregnancy

Lo Loestrin Fe is a contraceptive pills. One pill is taken no more than 24 hours apart to regulate the hormone levels in your blood and prevent pregnancy. If you are on this medicine for last 6 months and are taking them regularly, you are already protected from conceiving. I do not see any reason why you had to take 6 pills 12 hours apart. Did your doctor advise you to do so?
There are rare chances that you can be pregnant while on the contraceptive medication. So the breast tenderness you are experiencing is because you must be facing the pre-mestrual symptoms. The medicine can also cause breast tenderness as a side effect. So do not worry about the tenderness.
However, if you have not taken medicines regularly for the month, then taking pregnancy test after 2-3 weeks of unprotected sexual intercourse can help in deciding if you are pregnant or not.
