I have a friend that is experiencing severe swelling in his arm, upper shoulder, all the way down to his wrist. Skin is really tight. Says its painful and went to emergency room they told him it was Gout. Went a couple days later to another doctor and they ran all sorts of blood tests and things and they don t know what is wrong with him still. He says he has been elevating arm and resting it. Says ice packs but I doubt that. Question is can you get Gout in your arm that way and if so, then why wouldn t the blood tests from the last doctor he seen have picked up the Gout conclusion the same way the emergency room had come to the conclusion of Gout?
