Can Giving Kofarest PED Be Safe For Cough To Infants?

My daughter (18 months old) is suffering from cough for a week now. Especially during the morning hours and whenever she drinks she is getting cough. We have given her Kofarest PED since yesterday (0.8 ml 3 times a day).Is the dosage Okay? Should we give her some other medicine? Please suggest.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your infant is suffering from cough which seems to be due to lung infection/ upper respiraror tract infection. Kofarest PED is safe to use in infants in mild dosage. I would suggest you to visit pediatrician once and get it examined. You should get blood tests done and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Get X-ray chest done as well. You should give steam inhalation to infant. Give child antiallergic along with antibiotic medication.
