I am 75 and resently had several occasions of gas in my chest area I can feel it run Thru my best and hear it as well it causes difficulty in breathing. It fees as if I had swallowed something that was blocking My air ways. Is this a normal reaction to gas
HI Thank for asking to HCM Your query will be highly appreciated, it may be dyspepsia that may be causing the retching it is the action of burping the air trying escape from the esophagus, if this associated with acid contained reflux action of acid then it may cause the pain or burning sensation. For immediate action fruit salt can be tried, antacid may be helpful, avoid heavy meal, spicy food, greasy food. Persistence condition may be indicative of infection and some time it may requires the antibiotic. hope this information helps.
