My friend hurt her ankle awhile ago and had to wear one of those big boots on it. I hurt my ankle about 2 weeks ago from dance, (i dance every day for like 2 hours) and I can barely walk on it right now. It hurts on the top, side, and back of my ankle and I almost cry when I have to walk. I told my mom and she told me to Ice, Heat, and take advil and those kind of meds. I have been doing that, but nothing is helping. I need to know if I should be going into the doctor to get a boot? Also, I want to know what my friend even did to get a boot? I don t want to just keep icing it because that hasn t helped the past 2 weeks. I want to actually have something done. I guess, I want to know how to get a boot, that way I can stay off walking and bending it because It just hurts so bad. I have ankle problems just because I am in dance, but nothing this bad. I just want to understand how my friend got a boot, but my mom doesn t think I need one. Even though I can barely walk. I am 15 and I m like 5 foot 5. and I weigh like 130 lbs. My medical history is.. I had kidney surgery in 2nd grade for stents and I think I had a transplant. (i m not too sure on that one) and I was in the hospital a month or so ago for a bladder infection or something like that I can t really remember the medical term for it. I also deal with depression, and have tried killing myself a lot so I go to the hospital once a week for counseling and have had problems starving myself to be aneroxic and lose weight. I just want to know more about this boot thing, and yes. I would love some help.
