Hello
You are 54 years , over weight , taking more sodium then required , having vertigo .
The normal sodium level is body is inside cell 15 mmol/L of H2O ,while outside cell 150 mmol/L H2O.
As I mentioned that blood level of sodium if elevate , may produces many diseases.
As I mentioned above that at this age all these parameters are not good for you.
Question is not elevated blood pressure but vertigo or dizziness .
The dizziness or vertigo may be due to many possibilities ,these include .
1 Dehydration m,since you are taking more sodium ,so dehydration may be the cause of vertigo . Get in blood for sodium level. Physical examination will find out dehydration present or not .
2 Hyper tension
3 Hypernatremia are actually due to simple dehydration ,so avoid sodium ( in excess ).
In my opinion consult a physician and get his opinion.
Good luck.
