Can Elevated High Hematocrit Levels, Enlarged Lymph Nodes, Vertigo And Neck Pain Be Interrelated?

diagnosed with a high hematocrit level, CT showed enlarged lymph nodes in neck (biopsy recommended) and nodule on thyroid, I have blood in my stool and I have symptoms of extreme vertigo, pain in neck and sore lymph node in groin and I cannot sleep at night. Could all of these symptoms be related?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

High hematocrit may be seen in dehydration or Acute gastrentritis or dengue with volume loss or polycythemia vera. If polycythemia vera you may develop repeated head ache chset discomfort and breathing difficulty etc.. usually not treated unless hemoglobin more than 20 gm)DL. Also check for enlarged lymph node may be due to Acute viral infections like cmv, infectious mononucleosis or metastasis of malignancy etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. please consult your doctor physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
