Can Elevated Calcitonin Levels Cause Itchy Irritated Eyes With Red Patches In Neck And Chest?

Medullary thyroid cancer surgery 2 plus years ago. Calcitonin levels post surgery about 300. Levels rose over next year and a half to 400. Over last 5 or six months doubled to 900 and then to 1800. Could the elevated levels be causing itchy irritated eyes and red, raised patches on neck and chest? Thank you.

I can understand your concern.

You had medullary carcinoma of thyroid and surgery for that. Still your calcitonin levels are too high and your symptoms related irritation and red patches may be related to it. So first of all you need to control that. Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.
