I had unprotected sex with my wife on 31st March. Her last periods ended on 29th March. I ejaculated over her vagina at 11:30am and she took 2 tablets of ECP (Sabz Sitara) at 11:00Pm. And she still had not take any more tablet. She is 21st year old. Till today (03rd April), there is no bleeding. Kindly let me know how serious is it? Will she become pregnant? It’s now 72 hours when I post this.
Hello and welcome to HCM, I am Dr Nilajkumar a consultant gynecologist and I will be helping you in your queries. If the period ended on 29th, then 30th March was a safe day as the chance of pregnancy on day 5-6 of menses is very low. Also she has taken pills within 72 hours. This further decreases the chances to almost nil.
The delay in period now may be due to the emergency contraceptive pill. It is almost more than 7 days since the missed period. So please get a urine pregnancy test done to rule out pregnancy. Most likely it will be negative. In that case do not worry, just wait for a few more days. She will get her periods.
Hope this was helpful. Feel free to ask any further queries and I will be happy to help. Thanks for using HCM. Have a good day. Dr Nilajkumar Bagde Consultant Obstetrics and Gynecology
