Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I am 25 years old and from last week I am feeling some thing strange. I feel pressure in my ears, feels my neck pulse running and feel dizzy some times. Some time I feel normal and sometimes ear pressure make me light headed. I consulted my family doctor. He said dizziness is related to my throat.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you are wondering if dizziness be related to the throat . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like allergies , hay fever , chemical exposures , chronic sinusitis ,meniere's disease and ear infection .In some cases mucus spread from upper respiratory track infection to ears through eustachian tube and cause ear infection , which further can cause dizziness . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , nasal endoscopy , viral culture test and blood tests .Doctor may also order throat swab test , viral culture test and examination with otoscope . Doctor may prescribe antibacterial or antiviral depending upon the diagnosis along with decongestant or expectorant . Doctor may also prescribe anti allergic and antiemetic . For now apply warm compress to external ear , take steam several times a day , do not bend forward and take benadryl twice a day .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
