Can Detox Tea Cause Brownish, Grainy Bleeding During Periods?

Hi I am a 22 year old female who usually has very regular, but heavy, menstrual cycles. I got my period today, about a week earlier than I would on my typically consistent schedule. Not only was the period unexpected, but the blood that collected in my menstrual cup was brownish and had more of a grainy looking texture. I am not on any birth control, I partake in safe lesbian sex, and the only significant change to my diet was a recent use of a detox tea made from a plant called Palo Azul. Should I be concerned? Could this tea have effected my menstruation? Thanks, Worried Girl

I really appreciate your concern, such menses history could be due to irregular hormone level and this is very common phenomenon, may not be related with any disease unless this is long lasting and having some other related symptoms, just wait for some time this would be fine, no need to have any medicines for this neither any kind of tea would work here, if the condition is long lasting then this need to be clinically examined and may needs some investigation but this happens very rarely, hope this information helps, take care.
