Can Delayed Periods Be Due To Swimming?

I am 39yrs 9months old. I have started learning swimming for last 2months. My period comes mostly on 1st of every month. Last month also it was on time, but this month still it has not started. 2 days back I have seen some red spots nd some very light reddish discharge was there for one day. Can the period be delayed for swimming?? I follow diet also n go for morning walk for 1hr everyday and 1hr swimming in the eve. Last month I have started using menstrual cup, so last month I have continued swimming during period also. Thanks n regards.

Hi I think you should consult a gynecologist for complete examination. Get a pelvic examination done by a gynecologist to rule out any cervical pathology or infections. Also do a urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy first if you are sexually active. If negative, wait for the periods. Sometimes periods can get delayed due to stress factor also. Hope it helps.
