Hi - My grandson will be 4 years old the end of Feb. He started studdering a few months ago. I was Skyping with my daughter and Joe today. He seemed like he was talking better but then would studder like he was having a hard time getting the word out. Is this something he ll grow out of?
sir it's very common in kids of 2-5 years. Kids learn new words and they stutter to learn pronouncing it, it's very normal. It can last for few weeks to couple of years. You have to pay special attention only if he is putting extra effort during stuttering or changes the word that he is not able to speak. If it happens so You need to consult with a speech-language pathologist who can evaluate your child and determine whether or not there is a risk of a long-term problem.
Good Luck
