Can Asacol Raise Blood Sugar Levels?

my brother 61years old is currently taking Asacol for colitis and diverticulitis condition....he also consumes a cocktail before dinner and wine with the meal and an after dinner drink pretty much on a reguar basis.....I have told him to cut way back on the alcohol consumption. He just had a physical yesterday and the Dr. attributes the elevation in his blood sugar level to the asacol.....dah !!!

HELLO AND WELCOME. NO ASACOL DOES NOT CAUSE ELEVATED BLOOD SUGAR. KINDLY SPECIFY HIS BLOOD SUGAR IE THE NUMBER , HOW HIGH WAS IT, HE SHOULD HAVE A HBAIC DONE AND AUREA CREATINE AND URINE R/E. LET ME KNOW THEN THANX
