There might have been obstruction to the flow of urine from the right kidney. Such obstruction can be due to stones, infections and tumors. In your situation it looks more like a chronic infection of the urinary tract causing these symptoms. Any obstruction to the flow of urine in the kidneys is best treated in a week following the obstruction. After this there are chances that the obstruction may manifest into chronic infection.
