Can Anal Fingering Cause HIV Infection?

Hi Doctor, I was involved in anal fingering a guy. It seems like fingering is not mode of HIV transmission however, most site states that there have been never a confirm case. beside confirm case is there any scientific reason that fingering can t cause HIV? Secondly how scientist now that fingering is not cause for infection when people involve in many acts during sex.

Hi. The anal area is plenty with bacteria and its a site where many can catch an infection. Oral sex can put you at high risk. However, anal fingering as you put it wouldnt cause HIV infection unless there was a cut in your hand or a breech of skin. Hope this answer helps. Take care.
