Can An Ultrasound Ensure If Lower Extremities Of The Foetus Is Fully Developed?

hi doctor, i would like to ask how can I be assured that the limbs/ legs of my baby are fully developed? I am 28 weeks pregnant. Recently had a 3d/4d ultrasound and I am not sure with the pictures I saw with my baby's legs. I just want to be assured that it is fully developed and will not be expecting any underdeveloped legs when I'll give birth. Is there any procedure or something like another ultrasound specifically for the limbs that we can do? Thank you

Hello,
thanks for using health care magic

Ultrasound is capable of detecting morphological abnormalities
including those of the fetal legs.

What you need to do is to ask the sonographer to lay emphasis
and some time on the legs to actually have a good picture of
the legs. The 3D ultrasound is more elaborate and should have
no problem in detecting any abnormalities.

You should re do the ultrasound with an experienced sonographer
or radiologist and let him checked for morphological abnormalities.

Best regards and hope this helps
