Can an intolerance to histamine cause your body to have heightened reactions to mosquito and ant bites? I am trying to figure out if I have a histamine intolerance. I have never been able to drink red wine. Can barely swallow it and I get flush and stomach upset/headache. I can drink white ok but a lot of time does not agree with me for stomach/headache. I have all seasonal allergy symptoms but I have been tested and all is negative. I get itchy red eyes, itchy nose, itchy inside hears, sneezing, itchy scalp, itchy skin especially on upper body back, and arms and face. Also was bit by an ant we think in Mexico and had foot swell up at bite severe itching. Same thing happens when I get bit by ants abut that was the worst swelling. Also mosquitos are very attracted to me and I get very large bites and very itchy they last a long time.
