Can An Accident Cause Memory Loss And Fatigue?

My husband experienced a traumatic injury at work 18 months ago. He was hit in the back by a heavy crane load. Broken collar bone, 5 ribs and scapula. Tests never indicated brain injury but about a year ago, I noticed memory loss, behavior not normal for him, lying, fatigue. He finally admitted he thinks there s something wrong. Three months ago he had a complete cardiac exam with stress test and ultrasound passed with no problems. What kind of doctor do we make an appointment with? His PCP told us a year ago there was no indication of memory loss.

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. Accidents especially to backbone could be traumatic. Brain evaluation only could explain whether there is any effect on brain. But, on such traumatic accidents, patients do depressed and anxious thereby there are chances of memory loss. I suggest you to consult a neurologist for brain examination to be sure about any possible damage.
