Can An ERCP Detect A Gallbladder Stone?

yesineed to know why a stone identified on CT was not found on ERCP? the pt is 87yrs old .Never had jaundice, colic pancreatitis or any liftime problems regarding digestion. The pain in upper abdone and back had gone before ERCP but 3 or 4 hours after CT thank you

Yes, you are right. ERCP may or may not find gall stone but CT abdomen will detect all stones. It may be due to different pros and cons of two investigations. Please take the report of CT abdomen as final as far as stone are concerned. Second scene may be that stone from gall bladder passed to intestine after ct and so was nit detected by ERCP
It may happen if stone was small .
