Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter (14yr) fainted in art class the other day. I took her to the pediatrician who sent her for blood work and an EKG. Both came back normal. Later that day we heard another child fainted a few ours later in the same classroom. Could it be the acrylic paint fumes? The kiln? Poor ventilation? The principal says the Fire Dept. tested the air and found nothing (carbon monoxide, etc) and that this was not environmental....

usually acrylic fumes does not cause such a problem. you should inquire about the other child also. only two children falling is not the problem by acrylic fumes. it may be coincidence that two child fall from some other reason. so if more child fall from the same class than the problem may be because of acrylic fumes.
