Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

How old your wife is? Does she smoke? Not opening of mouth can e explained by swelling in the neck, but you said those were 3 abscesses. Abscess has nothing to do with malignancy, it is always formed in case of infection. She may have been improved by medications like antibiotics, but if she is not fully recovered then it is because that you have to drain the abscess in order to treat it. The doctor may have ordered the FNAC FOR culture and sensitivity test in order to find out the best antibiotics for that. For that to be malignant, it should be a hard mass, which may be causing other symptoms as well.

Hope I have answered your query.
