Can A Dilated Aorta Be Treated With Medication Or Surgery?

My wife is 46 years old, very active and fit with no medical history. She has complainted of a pounding heart and occassional dizziness along with increased tiredness. She has been told she has a dilated aorta and is going to a specialist next week. Can a dilated aorta be treated with medication/surgury?

Welcome to HCM

Medicines wont revert the dilatation
They can only retard further worsening

Surgery is not for all cases / it depends on the nature, extent, location etc..
The treating doctor alone can suggest further based on his assessment of the situation.
