Can A Blow On Nose Effect Hearing?

. My husband blowed his nose earlier today and he said he felt as if air came out of his ear. Now his hearing is a little muffled in that ear, what could this be, or what has caused this?

Hi,

Blowing the nose caused the nasal air and fluid to be pushed through Eustachian tube to the middle ear.
Too much blowing can rupture the eardrum.
This will directly affect the hearing like feeling muffled hearing, fluid coming from perforated eardrum and so on.
I would advise your husband the following:
Stop blowing the nose.
Consult a Doctor to see for the problems and get treated by prescribed medicines such as antihistamine, anti-inflammatory medicines and oral antibiotics as needed.
Needs a few weeks treatment for cure.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
