Can A Prolia Shot Cause Sore Throat And Cough?

I had a prolia shot last Thursday evening and the next day I started with a cough which I still have and a sore throat, loss of my voice. I have no other cold symptons. Could this shot have caused these side effects that fast? I looked on line and it did say that those were also a side effect of the shot.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Prolia doesn’t cause sore throat or other respiratory tract infections. It could be due to bacterial infection or strep throat not related to prolia. You can start a short course of antibiotics for five to seven days. Do warm saline gargles and take antihistamines like Levocetrezine for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
