Can Xtampza ER Be Replaced With Percocet For Chronic Back Pain?

I am currently taking xtampza er for chronic back pain. I also have regular oxycodone 5 mg which does not cause the headaches? Can I substitute Percocet instead which doesn t cause me to have as many of the side effects or the sick feeling all day until I see my regular doctor?

Hello,

I understand your concern. Yes, until your next visit and consultation with your doctor, you certainly can take Percocet if it makes you feel better and if it relieves the pain to a suitable level. However I recommend you discuss this with your doctor.

all the best
