Can Vesicare Cause Swollen Feet And Ankles With Red Rashes Around Them?
I started taking Vesicare about 4 weeks ago for OAB...it seemed to be working just fine..but about a week ago I noticed that my ankles and the tops of my feet were swollen..and I had a red measel like rash on the front of my left shin going all the way around my leg down to the inside of my ankle..i take several meds but this is the first time this particular incident has happened and Vesicare is the only new med..
Though, swelling in feet and ankle with rashes have been noted only once a while with Vesicare, still this type of effect is not seen very frequently with this drug. However, you may stop this drug for some time and see if the unwanted symptoms go away by this.
Also, if the symptoms reappear with its successive use, then the symptoms may be attributed to the use of Vesicare and in this case, you are advised to see your doctor in this regards for possible management of your problem.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Satnarain Bansal, General & Family Physician
