Can Ursodiol And Caltrate Be Taken Together?

I have just been prescribed Ursodiol..300 mg, twice daily. Was told by pharmacist that I should not take RX Caltrate with this medication. I take l Caltrate a day 600+D. Also told that after I take Ursodiol I should wait at least two to four hours before eating calcium products, i.e., cottage cheese or regular cheese products. Also told to take food with pill. I am on a lot of meds and am also diabetic. Not enough hours in the day to space these meds. Please advise. I will remain online for your response.

I can understand your concern.
Ursodiol is biliary tract supplement. It's best action seen when ingested with food.
So better to take it twice daily (with breakfast and dinner).
Calcium tablets decrease absorption of Ursodiol. So you should take calcium tablet after lunch (6 hours after morning dose of Ursodiol).
If you take tablets bypass this way, you won't have any problems with drug interactions and efficacy.
