Can Unicarbazan Forte Be Used For Edema?

FOR IRREVERSIBLE EDEMA DOCTOR OF FILARIASIS RESEARCH CENTER RAJAHMUNDRY ,GOVERNMENT OF INDIA FREELY SUPPLIED AIB 400MG AND DRC36 AND ADVISED TO USE FOR 18 DAYS.I WAS ADVISED TO TO USE UNICARBAZAN FORTE FOR 20 DAYS IF THERE IS NO IMPROVEMENT.I HAVE NOTICED NO IMPROVEMENT AFTER USING THE TABLETS FREELY SUPPLIED.CAN I USE UNICARBAZAN FORTE?

Hi, Its not confirmed whether you have filariasis or not. You will be benefited with unicarbazine only if you are positive for microfilariae(larva of filarial worm). THe drug can kill them. If no more alive microfilariae present in your body then its of no use taking this drug. You can take symptomatic treatment for acute attacks of filariasis.
