Can UTI And MRSA Be Infected If The Washroom Is Shared?

My Sister just told me her Urinalysis came back and she has a UTI and MRSA? She s had boils on her arm pits and in her groin removed a few weeks ago. And is complaining of headaches the past few weeks. We share a bathroom and when I found out I freaked out! I know it is a Staph bacteria, and I ve had 5 styes in the past two months, and just last Friday I noticed I felt like I had a UTI. It burns after urination. Does this mean she s passed the SA bacteria onto me?!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
There is a possibility of mrsa spread through washroom and even beds or even same taps. So kindly get yourself checked. Do a urine test routine and culture and sensitivity. Do not worry you can cure it with a stable antibiotic. Even mrsa are susceptible to some antibiotics based on the culture and sensitivity report. Hope it helps.
