Can Triamcinolone Acetonide And Clobetasol Be Used To Treat Open Wounds?

I have many wounds on my legs and arms. maybe 50 smalls one caused from my own scratching. some are open due to recent scratching. Some or thick or raises because of dueing it to the same wound over a long period of time. I have some traimcinolone Acetonide 0.1%. I also have some Clobetasol .05% ointment but I usually use the on closed wounds. Can I use this cream on all the wounds, even the red ones or open wounds. I have lots of scarring. Thank you.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I have gone through your complaints and you can use either of the cream on itchy areas twice daily but it is better if you could mix it with an antibiotic cream like Neosporin ointment and then apply on the affected areas.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
