Can Robitussin DM Be Given To A Child For Treating Persistent Cough?

My 9-year-old granddaughter takes Concerta for ADHD. She has a irritated cough with no other symptoms including chest congestion or runny nose; I suspect allergies due to the spring pollens. Is Robitussin DM a good choice for her? She s been coughing for about four days. Thanks!

Hello,I just read your query and from what you describe this appears to be allergy .
Yes you can use this syrup in small amounts recommended for her age group.
Apart from that try
1-Steam inhalation thrice a day
2-warm soups or drinks like ginger, honey tea
3-Increased fluids orally.

Hope that serves your concern.Goodluck.
