Can Polysporin Be Applied On The Vagina?
Is it safe to use polysporin on the inside of vaginal lips? My daughter is 8 months old and I m breast feeding and I m guessing that s why my period is so light, I haven t used pads in over 4 years until now. I ve been using barely there liners and earlier today my vagina has been itchy. I had a bath with my daughter about an hour ago and when I was washing myself I noticed it was slightly swollen. Once dry I also noticed it s a bit raw looking, so not only is it itchy, it hurts. Just wondering if I m able to use polysporin on it until I m able to get to the drs. Thank you

No, polysporin cannot be used on the mucosal surface. What you are talking is vaginitis, and I will suggest taking clotrimazole or can free kit vaginal tablets one tablet to be inserted high in vagina one tablet per day for twelve days. It should resolve by then.
