Can Plan-B Be Taken To Avoid Pregnancy?

Hi. I am a virgin and my boyfriend inserted his penis halfway (unprotected) before withdrawing and realizing he didn t have a condom. The issue was, this happened yesterday, which was 14 days after my period began. What are the chances? Can I take plan b tomorrow? will it work?

Plan-B if taken properly can prevent an unwanted pregnancy.

Since you had unprotected sex during your most fertile period, there is a strong possibility of pregnancy.

If taken within 72 hours following an unprotected sex, the "emergency contraceptive" pills like Plan-B can be 95% effective in preventing an unwanted pregnancy. The sooner it is taken more protection it givens.

So, since you had sex yesterday, you can still avoid pregnancy by taking Plan-B after consulting your doctor.
