Can Nexplanon Be Harmful When Found To Be Broken During Removal?

I recently had my birth control taking out witch was the nexplanon it was brought to my attention that when they remove it, it was broken in half inside my arm they didn t know how long it could have been broken my question is can it cause health problem since it was broken ?

Hi,

There is a possibility for the birth control implant to bend or even break.

Even if your implant breaks, don’t have to worry as the implant is still effective even if it is broken.

Also, no mega-dose of hormones will be released into your system from the breakage.

The only concern if an implant breaks it may be a bit more difficult to remove when the time comes.
