Can Myteka Be Prescribed For A Child Suffering From Chest Infection And Fever?

my son age 3 years is suffering chest infection & fever. he oftenly fall sick about every month and every time got chest infection. now Dr. has suggested MYTEKA. "MONTELUKAST sODIUM". I have heard this is a medicine giving in case of asthema. can i give it to my son? is it OK

Chest infection and asthma or wheeze associated LRTI are two different things...if second one is the reason for repeated cough n cold than prescribed medicine is ok..so just check with ur doctor what exactly he has?
