Can Minocycline Cause Excessive Sweating?

I sweat alot with minocycline. Is that normal? Aslo i thought this med was for mursa, I have a spot on my nose that is spreading. I sweat a lot with this medication is this normal also I thought this medication was for mursa I have a spot on the side of my nose that is spreading and my doctor told me to take this medication

Hi,

Minocycline is a tetracycline antibiotic that fights bacteria in the body. Minocycline is used to treat many different bacterial infections, such as urinary tract infections, respiratory infections, skin infections, severe acne, gonorrhea, tick fever, chlamydia, and others.

Excessive sweating is not a common side effect of this drug but if this symptom appear when you start this medication ,than it is possible that the symptom is caused by Minocycline.

My advice for you is to consult your treating doctor if your new symptom persist and disrupt your daily routine,because it is necessary to control if this drug is effective or not and to discuss if it is necessary to change the therapy because you can not tolerate the consecutive side effects of this drug.
