Can Metaxalone Be Cut Into Half?

Hi, I just got metaxalone 800mg 2 days ago for sore muscles. I took one last night before bed and it put me to sleep fast. All day today I have felt tired and a little run down. There is a score mark on the tablet. Is it safe to cut it in half and only take half at a time?
